I am always amazed by these stories; these criminals must have huge balls to break into a known cop car. Obviously they are lacking iq too.

They will go over those cars with a fine tooth comb! If the fools who stole that stuff left any evidence it will be found! Definately cant sell or pawn those guns.

Why don't they have some kind of a bolted down safe in their cars?
But we have background check laws in place! How could they ever get such assault weapons!

I wish when I was that little I could get to hold a real "assault weapon". She will grow up to be a killer now. Where were the parents? Where were the parents??????

Some agencies do and some don't. A lot of vehicles assigned to the detectives in a lot of agencies are usually the last thought of vehicles of the agency. A lot are lucky if they have sirens and lights installed.
My agency has installed a gun lock device in our vehicles, but putting my rifle in it bangs up my rifle pretty bad due to vibration. So I keep it locked in a case attached to the gun locking mechanism in my vehicle. Not the most ideal situation, I know.

But if they did that, that'd show that they're more responsible with the guns, and we can't have that! Everyone knows GUNZ R BAD!!!11!1!

^^ That's awesome!
But back to the OP's article, if one was really a Colt Commando then the "assault rifle" description is accurate. As far as I know, all Commandos are select fire.

I was thinking the same. The colt commando is a shorter CAR15, I imagine there are some semi only ones. Worth looking for them on gunbroker.

I think the current SA-only version is the Colt 6933. I drooled over one a few months ago, and was asked by Mrs. C. about the sex that I was planning to have ever again if I spent $1200 plus tax stamp.

Of course adams county.
Definately cant sell or pawn those guns.
Pawn, maybe not, but in the right part of town you could sell one in under five minutes flat. Some folks aren't all that concerned with 4473's...and couldn't pass one anyhow.

But-but that's why they passed all those wonderful laws to protect us from the bad, bad evil gunz........

Ya, they won't be able sell them without a background check so they're stuck with owning them. Wow, this new law is really working!
