I have been around guns all my life, an avid hunter and shooter, but I'm new to AR's. I just bought my first lower (stripped) and am looking forward to learning by building. Short term, I want to build an A3-style 5.56 with a 16 inch barrel and iron sights. Longer term, I'd like to build a second upper in either 300BLK or 6.8SPC for hunting larger game. If anyone has spare parts laying around that they'd be willing to sell for a reasonable price, let me know! Right now I've just got this very nice piece of aluminum with Anderson Manufacturing stamped on the side. I'm looking forward to participating in the forums, learning as much as I can, and contributing what little I know.

Welcome to the fold. My advice is to do alot of research before you buy parts for your AR. There is alot to choose from so choose wise and purchase once. I too am interested in the 6.8 SPC caliber and may go that way too.
