I have one guy trying to trade me his Kawasaki Bayou 220. Another is trying to trade me an RRA NM A4 with a Nikon 2.5-10x42 BDC scope, a Harris bipod, a Magpul ACS, and some kind of free float rail that I don't recognize. It is the lower rifle in the pic.
Wife wants the ATV, I want the rifle. The trade is for my 2wd 1978 Ford F250 in better than average condition (only selling cause its 2wd).
Suggestions?

While I loves me a nice ATV, you can't typically see what sort of abuse it's been subjected to through the years. The same can not be said so much for the rifle - it's usually pretty easy to see exactly what condition it's in.
Besides, it's easier to haul a rifle out to the woods than it is an ATV.
Kind of a dumb question on a gun board.

I'd take the rifle over the ATV. Maybe if it was a 450 or larger but not for a 220.

Leaning towards the rifle. Its worth more than the ATV and I'd probably end up selling it, and the rifle is easier to sell I think.

firearms don't lose their value.
ATV's fall like a stone.
Ain't much chance of ATV's being banned.
you can always buy a ATV

Rifle. The at 200cc the quad is underpowered and you would likely become unhappy with it.

Rifle. That ATV isn't big enough to get out of it's own way.

Atv is way underpowered. Not worth it
I'll toss a vote for the rifle. I have the 300cc version of that ATV and I wouldn't go any smaller for an adult.

ALL THE ABOVE and you're talking a 13-14yr old ATV. Having dealt with ATV's from a parts counter side. You'd be surprised what is and is no longer available for them, even ones 5-6 yrs old.

Another vote for the rifle if it's in decent condition. I was going to say there's no BGC for the ATV but it's 13+ years old and underpowered. No brainer here.

and since it's 13 years old, parts might be an issue to fix anything that dry rotted while the guy let it sit for 10 years. :)

I was going to suggest the rifle because it would be easier to flip.

There's no BGC for the rifle either... I'm stationed in NC most of our rights aren't considered "illegal" here yet[Coffee]
Well I went with the rifle. The wife was pissed when I told her, but then I showed her a pic of it and she's not so pissed anymore.
The rail is definitely that one in the link... Its stamped "TROY." I think the bipod is a knockoff Harris, I'm not sure how to tell the difference but I can't find any markings on it.
The lower is definitely an RRA, but the upper has a logo above the charging handle that doesn't look like RRA... I'll get a pic of it later but I think its an A with a T in it or something like that. Didn't recognize it. I test fired it in my backyard before we finalized the deal and it shoots nice.
The rail is tan and I think the stock is black, but both have black spray paint on them. Any idea how to get the paint off without damaging the factory finish on the rail?

If it's a rock river upper, in between the picatinny towards the rear it should have a laser etched RR logo. At least mine does anyways.

I'm in the same boat. Trying to decide between tires for the car, and an AK.

If you need new tires, you need new tires. I had my car creamed by someone riding on bald tires. She was coming downhill in a spring snowstorm on a two-lane road. Traction was so bad I was having to play with the clutch while in first gear just to keep going about 5 mph then I saw her coming downhill, obviously out of control in the middle of the road -- could only tell my passenger to grab the Jesus bar because there was no way to get out of the way. After she hit me, all she could do was keep saying she was going to get new tires next week ...
Yeah, it's tires for a second set of wheels. Damn near a whole life of tread left on the ones I'm riding on now. That is the only reason why it's even a question for me.

That was my first thought but looking on their site and on google I can't find that shield and star logo on anything. The only one I see associated with them is the diamond logo.
very very very few people in CO would even click a link to the craigslist ad on that ATV, let alone give you a call about it.
a 220, while capable in CO, is not what people want. not to mention it isn't automatic. 500cc automatic or bigger is what 95% of most people are after.
that ATV might pull $1000-1200 if the right buyer was found but I would be skeptical.
