Since I've already went full retard on the forum i might as well die hard, here's a AK picture thread on AR forum. [shithitsfan] A little real life backgound on Arsenal's "game-changer"'s relative.
The Bulgarian AK47, known as the AR, was made in two styles, one with a 45-degree gas block, and the other with a 90-degree gas block. Both are chambered in 7.62x39 with AKM profile barrel. They successfully avoid the Russians from busting their balls over copyright.
Iraq army after the overthrow of Saddam was equipped with this rifle supplied by US funding.

Nice pictures I personally prefer the type 3 one (the 45 degree gas block with the slightly heavier barrel) but probably because for me milled ak's are more for nostalgia than anything
Arsenal really upset me with thier "game changer" I was expecting a 9mm AK or something else cool. But no we get another expensive milled AK. Must be a higher margin on them when compared to the SGL21's.
/rant
Still a cool AK but its getting into quality AR price range

As long as they are good guns I can deal with their price.

They are solid guns they just keep churning out milled AKs when the market for milled AKs is much smaller than a more economicly priced stamped AK.

My nodak can run circles round the $1K + Arsenal. Granted it's not an arsenal, but it's still an AK.

I'm not saying stamped AKs are inferior to milled, the days of $300 AK is gone, we can't judge the value of a gun with what they cost a military/nation to equip them. Sure the Soviet developed the AK to be MASS produced and inexpensive. When West Germany developed the G3 it was also made with stamped steel and produced as affordably as possible, now gun buyers happily pay over 1k for them.

Pretty big demand for milled AKs, you only see them less common and pricy because the supply is short.

If you had a gun shop you would sell 10 stamped ak's to 1 milled ak. The only people who want milled ak's are collectors and ak guys, The average joe wants the cheapist ak he can find.

The Demand is shooter than the supply. As mentioned for someone who "Must Have" a milled receiver for their collection, it's desirable. To the common shooter, safe queen / dust collector.

Are you referring to the weight? Like how AR with polymer lower are superior to aluminum ones?

You're talking 2 different animals, stick with ak's . Both milled and stamped are metal. The AR platform you dragged in to the mix is Al vs. Polymer. An AK with stamped receiver is somewhat lighter, more flexible and faster, to dissipate heat than a milled unit. Also when looking at the Milled vs Stamped, the majority of select fire are stamped. Last but not least the stamped are assembly line cheap to produce vs. milled.

True, the gain is accuracy(not by much) and durability. I'm not sure how many, but a lot of old Soviet AK-47(milled) are still functional and in use in every corner of the world. I should read up on the matter once my copy of "AK-47-The Grim Reaper" arrive.

Type 1 soviet ak's are still encountered as well and those are stamped ak's lol also the accuracy difference between milled and stamped is non existent that's a myth spread by milled ak fan boys (I have 2 milled ak's so I know how they run) I have a friend on gunco that build his own extreme accuracy ak's his most accurate is a .308x39 built with his own barrel and scope mount on a 1mm flat spot heat treated and he has pictures of his 5 shot groups from it almost covered by a dime. Granted those are hand loads and he does his own trigger jobs but basically the receiver flex on an ak only affects accuracy if you're using a receiver mounted optic rail and I imagine even that is negligible
