BLACK HAWK, Colo. — A bachelor party ended in tragedy after a 29-year-old fell to his death in Black Hawk Saturday morning.Police said Dirk A. Anderson from Thornton fell out of an 11th story window at the Lady Luck Hotel just before 5 a.m. Anderson reportedly struck the roof of the hotel’s 7th floor parking garage and died from his injuries.
Officers said Anderson was celebrating with several friends inside the hotel room when the incident happened. Black Hawk Police Chief Stephen Cole said he was sitting on the window sill and fell backwards through the window screen.
Investigators are still looking into the circumstances surrounding the fall, but police say it appears to be accidental.

Loos guy was probably just having a good time drinking with some friends. Obviously drink and hanging out by windows is a bad idea.

I had no part in this of course. Apparently, someone forced open the window in that room - they are only supposed to open a little to avoid situations just like this. Somehow, the guy fell through the screen. Reports are that there was no booze in the room, but that doesn't mean much.

Regardless of the details, it's a sad tragedy.

Hence why Vegas windows don't open.

Not to make light of the situation, but I appreciate the rare opportunity to use "defenestration" in conversation.

Well, that sucks GG.

Even the best attempts to thwart stupidity don't always work. Tell the press [goFyourself] for me.

That sucks. Too bad they forced the window open. That's why they are installed.

Hence why Vegas windows don't open.

We had a room in Vegas at the Riveria that was way up high and opened all the way up. Down below was the roof to another part of the building, I can't say exactly how much of the furniture from our room ended up getting tossed out, along with a whole ton of other stuff.

The big question that needs to be asked here is: Why on Earth are you watching CNN?

Back to the OP topic: I guess that guy was just in a hurry to get down to the lobby & pick up the strippers.

The interesting question is, who exactly forced it open? Was it like that before they checked in or did they do it themselves?

I'm sure the lawyers already asked. Of course it should be common sense to not lean on a screen, but lawsuits have nothing to do with common sense.

Another case of devine select gene pool intervention.
May he RIP but he had no business breathing our air.

Depending on the airport. Most of them air CNN because I believe they offer the airport free tv if they play them all day long.
