Finances caused us to not do ANYTHING for the summer in regards to a vacation.

Kids and Wife are wanting to get out of the house for some pseudo vacation time. It would be the Wife, I and our two hellions (4 and almost 6 year old boys.)

Thinking of heading up Sat (31st and staying till labor day, 2 night camping) Looking for a 2nd family/vehicle to join.

If someone has a mild built 4 wheel drive and wanted to join I was thinking of Bill Moore / Mill Creek (Empire) possibly. (Wife doesn't want to do any major wheeling on this trip.)

If someone wants to join but doesn't want to do any mild wheeling, thinking of maybe doing Long distance St. Elmo / Tin Cup Pass Camping along the root somewhere or going up to Magnolia road, Rollins Pass East and Mammoth gulch (all drive-able with stock truck/Jeep.)

Shoot me a PM~!~!~!~! [Beer]

Sorry. The wife and I have plans to do a little wheeling with some friends that weekend.

Sounds like a good time though.

Have fun.

Interesting suggestion, will have to check it out, maybe not this trip. Most of the trails I mentioned was I have ran them many times and familiar with terrain and area to find a remote camping spot.

I'd be interested in meeting up for a Sunday wheeling adventure. Can't camp just yet, not really equipped for it with a 3 month old.

We waited until the youngest was 2 years old to go camping and it was a nightmare ( figured they loved the dirt the mountains camping should be heaven, was not the case.)

Both my boys started wheeling at 8 months old (mother in law made cushioned neck braces.)
They need to walk at least for camping, stroller is not feasible and carrying them is tiring.

If I cant get anyone to tag along (why I opened up here to meet fellow demographic) I think am leaning to do some short run camping at Bill Moore. (always pretty at the lake there) and do the Mill Creek / Empire Hilton run / visit on Sunday.

My wife doesnt really "camp" anymore. To her camping is a 30 foot rv and I dont think it will make the passes. I havent got out any this summer either. We are looking to do something over labor day but havent decided where yet, have to tow our toys.

Luckily my wife has a little exploration spirit left in her and doesnt complain about it. In fact this Camping trip was HER idea................. I am blessed.

Mine went on his first trip at 3 months, we've got this cushion thing that fully braces his head, plus we haven't hit anything too crazy, and only closer trails.

I'm planning on wheeling that Sunday, not sure where yet, but if you decide you want to hook up, let me know.

Doing something close and short (to get in some hiking) on Saturday. We were going to camp, but I have to work half a day Sunday.
