They still have $10 of mine. I put a deposit on a Buck Mark Magazine and they never called. Other that having to drive around to find their enterance its OK. I used to be able to go down Bellview to get there but now I would have to drive around to Arapaho Road.[Rant2]

I am a new member there. I like the rifle tube. 100 yards and a 35 yard crutch for sighting in. 20 lanes of pistol and 24 hour access is great. No holster work or double taps suck, but it's a great range to go to and so far I am usually alone or with a few other people.

Are we referring to the Cherry Creek Family Shooting Center? Or as I like to refer to it: Cherry Creek Family Fun & Suicide Center. If so...I absolutely hate that place. The fees are outrageous, the range masters hawk over you like a vulture waiting on an animal to die, and they are rude. I went there 1 time to sight in my AR and it was a very painful and long process thanks to the miserable staff there. If I had to sight in my AR all over again, I would drive 1 hour to a free public access range in the mountains and do it there. In fact, I hope they shut that place down. [Mad]

Yeah that's the answer. Shut down a range because you had a bad experience there. Are you kidding me ? [Coffee]

The facility is great.

The biggest drawback if Cherry Creek Gun Club is the amount of organized shooting. All the ranges are nat available all of the time. You might check out their calender to see what I mean.

You should read all of the range rules too. There are some restrictions that you may not like.

They have had trouble with damage so they installed cameras in the pistol ranges and they are regularly reviewed.

It is an excellent range that I will keep my membership up.

Joining isn't that hard. Go to one of the meetings and talk to people there. Another way is to go to one of the organized shooting things and talk to people or participate.

Trust me, I'm not the only one. I know several people who have gone there and had a miserable experience. Not to mention the "issues" they've had there. They are over-priced on top of that.

Yeah $15.50 to shoot all day is WAY overpriced [ROFL1]

Are you talking about the Cherry Creek Gun Club that the original poster asked about or the Cherry Creek Family Shooting Center?. They are two completely different, unaffiliated places.

You need to make it clear which one you are posting about.

Cherry Creek Family Shooting Center. NOT the Cherry Creek Gun Club...which until recently I had no idea existed.

I think it is considering I spend less in gas to go shoot for free. Clear Creek County Sportsman's Club is $80 a year (NRA Member discount) and you can shoot whenever the hell you want from morning to evening. You also don't have range masters breathing down your shirt collar. Apparently several people here have money to burn and like paying $15.50 to shoot, apparently they aren't shooting as often as I am then. It would cost me $62.00/month minimum to shoot at that rate, not counting the cost of getting onto Cherry Creek.
