How do they know we're on at work!?!

They can probably figure out if you're at work based on IP ranges, I'm curious how they collect the other stats.
That spike in the middle of 2012, I'm guessing comes from the theater shooting.
The stats are off. They get data only from people with certain tool-bars installed to their browser, so it is just an estimate. I have real numbers.
Theirs are low, because I suspect most people here are smart enough not to be installing the track-ware toolbars, etc.
I was a bit proud of this part through:
How fast does ar-15.co load?
http://www.alexa.com/pro/images/icon-section-help.png (http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/ar-15.co#)
Very Fast (0.452 Seconds), 94% of sites are slower.

what software would / do you suggest, to avoid "tracking"?
I don't use any, but I know what to look for / avoid, and how to remove it from my system by hand if I find anything. Some others here have favorites, I'm sure they will chime in.

Thats a huge drop..Global rank was at 30k last December.. Google PR was 4 now down to 2. Lesser the better for this site imho :)
A) The site always has lows during the summer. People here have lives, excluding a select few.
B) Having a severely handicapped trading post has hurt traffic a good chunk too. But those people weren't here to contribute anyways, we were merely a classified system for them.

As J said those numbers are no where near correct. I just looked up my site and there numbers are no where even close to the actual numbers.
I think those numbers might account for me, Irving and ginsue....that's about it

I started using Ghostery a little while ago, thanks to you.
I use a combination of different software to prevent malware and adware. AVG PC tuneup is great to clean things up and get crap off of your computer, but i Also use spyboy search and destroy and adaware. Looking at ghostery too now though. Really what keeps those tool bars off is making sure that you don't leave them selected when you install other programs. They piggy back On other software downloads and then you have to go in and delete them manually from your program manager.

Breaking out the dictionary and basic English book ;)
