I'm all for open carry, but this is the wrong way to win support for our right.

Came to Freddys for a hamburger and this jackass was in line a head of me. Not only is the Sigma in a cross draw holster, her could not his hand off of the gun. I was sitting next to a mom who was obviously very uncomfortable and complained. The guy kept glaring at everyone and then at the gun. Funniest part was the food stamp card used to pay for the food.

Looks like a child's leg. He's open carrying a child in his right arm. Oh, the humanity.

They throw in the buns, meat youz pay for. Same for beer, but only in cans, some environmental clause.

Wow. All kinds of "Fail" in that pic. Blurry aside, that Cpt. Douchebag has taken the term "Gun Nut" to a whole new level. He is a clear example of how the left views every single one of us. Really wish idiots like this never existed. To be sure, you can bet he keeps that blaster on his night stand loaded while his wee ones run and play unsupervised too. Sad thing is, not a single rational gun owner in the world could ever convince him he's no poster child for supporting the 2nd Amendment.

Were the lady and kid in front of him with him, if not he is standing really close. Probably one of those guys who think open carrying makes you look like a bada$$. If that is a handcuff pocket why would a normal person be carrying around handcuffs, it would be a weird place for a cellphone case. Would there be a case for brandishing if you walk around with your hand on your weapon? I would take that as slightly threatening if I were there.

If you call in a suspicious person and tell dispatch there is a guy with a gun that he keeps touching while looking around, has handcuffs, and appears to be in an elevated psychological/physiological state there is a good chance that they will send someone out.

Long story short I called in (who I didn't realize at the time) an undercover cop. He kept exposing his gun and touching it whenever someone would look at him. His ass got chewed, not mine.

so you guys would ruin the guys life because he looks different than you and is dumb? he looks like he is there with his family and holding a little girl

maybe he has bad taste in holsters and carrying style. maybe he noticed Chris behind him eyeballing him maybe he noticed Chris was armed and he was afraid Chris might be trying to steal his gun.

I'd like to think that I would have had the nerve to walk up to him and just talk with him about it. If I were acting like a jack-hole, I'd appreciate someone letting me know that I'm being a jersey-shore reject.

as for calling the cops, meh. somoene asked for a reason, so I gave a possible reason.

In theory I'm totally in favor of open carry.

In reality I usually find that those who do open carry are the people I least want representing public gun ownership.

The person on a picture should just get an entire duty gear. [facepalm]

this..... i dont call the police on them for doing so though

btw when i used to open carry a lot i would rest my hands on my hips(touching my gun with the back of my hand) i also had some asshole try to snatch it so i would touch it from time to time if i saw someone eye fucking me just out of nervous instinct

fuck open carry if you have the ability to get a ccw do so it draws SO much attention

Welfare card, cheap-ass Sigma, Uncle Mikes Velcro handcuff case, and a pair of jeans stolen from a homeless guy's shopping cart. Only possible explanation I can think of is it's his first week working a new job for a bail bondsman and he had nothing for breakfast except a pot of coffee. No legitimate reason for a civilian to be walking around in public with handcuffs. A lot of things wrong with this picture. Not really seeing a reason to call 911 on him though.

Open carry although legal is asking for trouble. get a CCW permit and a good holster and pull your shirt down over it. Noboby needs to know you are carrying. Its just that simple. I dont want attention drawn to me or to make others uncomfortable. Its a good idea these days to carry but hide it well!

The original Sigmas had a zinc alloy slide. The enhanced Sigmas you see these days are like a Glock clone with a heavy trigger. They'll likely outlast me.
