View Full Version : Push through base sizing die for .45 ACP? Want 0.470" diameter or so

I overcooked a bunch of Lapua .260 brass, and now the primer pockets are loose. After fiddling with a caliper, it looks like a push through sizing die for .45 ACP might just squash it enough to tighten up the pockets a tick. They're just loose, not wildly loose.

I have some new Lapua brass, and it measures 0.470" diameter at the base. My loose brass is more like 0.475" diameter. I don't have a .45 push through die, in fact I don't even know if they exist.

Anyone out there have such a die? Ever tried it for this purpose? Willing to measure the I.D. for me?

Take a look at the Magma CaseMaster Jr. I *think* it will do what you are looking for. On page 2 of the manual (found here in PDF -- http://www.magmaengineering.com/PDF/CASEMASTER_JR_INSTRUCTIONS_complete.pdf) it seems to indicate the 45 ACP die will work with .260 Remington. You will need the entire press which is a few more $$ than only a die, however.
