Any suggestions on a shorter .22lr for 11 year old. My kid likes to shoot but has trouble with the length. I need a suggestion.

If going the 10/22 route look at the blackhawk stock, worked well for my kids when they were small and still works for me.

if he's competent and you're comfortable with a semi why not one of the AR 22 variants?

10/22 come in a youth model if you want a factory rifle. My 8 year old shoots an ar22 bc of the adjustable stock.

Chop the stock of a 10/22.

Savage 64 is a great option for under 150. The 13" LOP maybe long tho.

As mentioned before, one of the AR type of 22 lr. rifles with an adjustable stock. Adjust it to fit now, and extend it as the child grows.
Besides, the cool factor of the AR look will win the child over and make any libitard sh*t them selves. Just don't let the child take any pictures of himself shooting to school, due to the "Zero Tolerance" and no common sense policies nowadays.

My daughter who is the same age started out on a 10/22. Granted she was about 6 when she started so it wouldn't fit her at all but she grew into it. Now she is shooting my AR's but still likes the 10/22.

If I was buying a gun for a new shooter I would take them to the gun store and let them pick out what they think is cool.

This.

When I was little, I saw various guns on the rack I wanted but my dad insisted on my getting what he thought I should have rather than what I wanted. That was four decades ago and I still don't see what harm would have been done to just let me get what I originally wanted...[Bang] It's not like it was going to be used for anything more serious than tin cans and squirrels.

Savage mark II with accutrigger and a synthetic stock. My boy now 13 shoots one and loves it.

My kids started off with 10/22's at 11, now they 15 and 16 and still love them even though they have AR's, Hi-Power bolt guns, and pistols to shoot. Looking back I think they should have had a bolt gun rather than a semi-auto, besides not burning through ammo I think a bolt gun helps with shot placement and discipline.

My son is 12 and we just got a S&W 15-22 and he is lights out with it. We really like it so far and it works well for him. Its a little more pricey than a 10-22 but I'm glad we went the 15-22 route.
