Anyone know where to find a original stock or a very good replacement for a m1 carbine? I have a National Postal Meter, But the guy that had it before me rasp down the stock to look more like a sporting rifle. So I wood like to get another if possible. Thanks

there are 3 or 4 decent places that advertise in SGN (which I don't have here at work)

oh, did you slap the prior owner silly for that heinous act?

Well after he sold it to me to use the money for his drugs that he was already up on charges for, I ripped his stripes off his arm before he left the the Base when he was kicked out of the military. Does that work?

That's a close second, but he still needs a good @$$ kicking for both the drug use (especially while wearing the uniform) and for violating such a fine firearm.

Yeah I was gonna say that. I'd kick his ass for ruining a piece of history.

You asked the question that I needed answered! I also have a Postal Meter M1 w/a Union Switch receiver. I am in the process of getting all Postal Meter parts for it. The stock needs to be replaced too.

I have been checking Gunbroker for parts, but I hadn't thought of SGN.

Check What a Country in California, they had a large inventory. if you are just looking for a stock that is not correct but allows you to use the rifle, I have a couple of those.

CMP sells newly manufactured stock sets for various military guns, including the M1 Carbine. http://www.odcmp.com/

I have a rebuilt M1 Garand with one of their new stocks on it, and I couldn't be more pleased.
