So, as I start to clean my house out for moving (finally into a place I own) I have tons of kidney, pinto, chili, and black beans. Does anyone have a good recipe for these beans. I think I am going to start to experiment but wondering if anyone else had the same problem and how they resolved it by consumption?

Remember, black beans and pintos can be mashed into refried beans. Spread them onto a tostada and top with a fried egg, sprinkle of cheese, and salsa. Breakfast!

I keep the bones from hams with about an inch of meat on them in the freezer for bean pots. Slow cooker with some beans, water, some of my pork shoulder rub and I slice the meat into 1" strips and put the bone in with everything. Set to high for 2 hours and switch to low until dinner time. Eat as a soup or over rice if you need a filler for extra servings. [Dinner]

Beans
ham hocks or leftover ham bones w/lotsa meat
1 large onion, coarsely chopped
1 green pepper, seeded and coarsely chopped
2 habanero peppers, seeded and finely chopped
heaping tablespoon of minced garlic from a jar

cook in water in large crockpot, the longer the better!

That's hilarious.

As far as the beans, mix equal amounts of the various types and add barley and split peas. When ready to cook, use ideas from above suggestions (onion, garlic, green pepper, rub spices, ham bone/ham hock, etc). This'll make a great 4-bean soup.
