I'm sitting on the deck drinking a beer, watching my wife run the weedwhacker. Life is good.

Then she asked told me to bring her a beer. And I did... I didn't stay long, but at least I reached the summit.

That is one hell of a concrete wall, how high is it?
Looks like you live in the city, not the hills.[offtopic]

you have 10 foot cement walls surrounding your house to keep the zombies out?

That's the wall of a separate garage/addition to the house the previous owner's never completed. It's basically just a big retaining wall now.
ETA: Photo from Mt Bailey. The "Berlin Wall" is to the right of the house. It's basically the firewood processing area now...but I'm not doing much of that with a bum shoulder.

The faster they rise, the harder they fall... At least you had a moment of glory.
And damn Bailey... Did you move to East Berlin?
I thought this was going to be a thread about finally giving your wife a dutch oven.

Getting her a beer sounds like a small price to pay for her to cut the weeds instead of you. I really don't know that you had much of a fall off the summit.

It was more of just a minor stumble really.
Maybe you'll get all the way there when you do the dishes after dinner while she smokes a cigar and drinks bourbon?

Why would she want a dutch oven?

Good luck staying on that pinnacle. My guess is she has some ulterior motives. [Sofa]

It took this long to get her pushing a mower? I see why you want to move.

Yeah...if I could only find some .22LR for my field-expedient suppressed rifle.

Its awesome she was even out there and drinks beer. My wife hasn't touched a mower in her life. She tasted beer twice. All she drinks is wine or expensive margaritas...

My wife knows what a lawnmower and weed whacker look like...she sees them periodically when I'm operating them. I don't think she's ever actually touched, let alone used any of them. She does like beer, however...usually my beer. At least she has good taste.

A few years ago, while I attended the Tulsa Gun Show, my Mrs. painted the entire exterior of our house and did one hell of a great job at that. She is a real JEWEL and after 53 years of marriage, I am convinced that I made a good choice in picking a mate. Fifty three years of marriage and have NEVER had one of these ----------- [013]

My lovely wife enjoys a nice yard with flowers (well, at least our idea of a nice yard).
I couldn't care less.
I start the lawn mower, she takes it from there.
My neighbors tried to tell us how our yard is not proper, ONCE.
There is nothing on Earth that will make me spend my time off sweating in MY yard to appease SOMEONE ELSE'S idea of what MY yard should look like.
And yes, as much as I love her, that includes my wife.

53 years! Wow. We've only been married 24 (in Oct). I'm still trying to decide if she's a keeper or not.
