I like the bottom one, looks better with the hand guard done along with the receivers. Nice pattern on that one as well.

Looks good!
Did you do it yourself or send it out?
But for some odd reason the ravens resemble the Nazi angry chicken stamps??

A friend did it at his shop. It's all in the attention to detail. The Nazi Iron Eagle is different than the Gunsite Raven. They might look similar but definitely not the same bird or meaning.

How come the Ano is so thin in the corners on these? Its not as noticeable on the tan but its pretty brutal on the black/grey/white.

What do you mean thin? Anodize penetrates, builds up and then color is applied. I think you mean were it bleeds together in the corners, because of sharp edges. Anodize isn't thin though.

The pattern is printed on with a "printer". The color runs down the edges and it bleeds. The anno is still the same thickness.

I realize the Ano is the same thickness regardless of color, what I should have asked is why is the pattern so thin in the corners. JM answered my question.

Not quite the "actual" way it happens; but a good enough explanation, that will suffice.

That's how it's done on paintball guns that are done with graphics. But the graphics on those is far more complex.

So, are you using hydrographics? You are doing the ano, and then the graphics, then somehow sealing the two when you close up the pores on the ano? Is this a type 3 ano, or 2? Are you doing the ano all the way, and just printing on the parts, and sealing the printing? I'm curious because I really like the tan camo...

So is it a permanent part of the ano, or does it go over the ano when you're done? I'm glad you didn't say hydro because that shit doesn't really hold up...

It is a dye, just like the black is a dye.

Im looking to get a new coating or ano on my AR, looking at either full Multicam, or a Med. Grey with Black furniture. Im on a budget and not really sure what it would cost to get done. Suggestions please. To the mods my apologies if this isnt the best thread to post this question.
