Hi new guy here, where can I buy a 1000 rds of 223 or 308 at somewhat of a decent price any more?

Thanks Les

By decent do you mean, "less than anybody else is paying"?

I just love the word! It means different stuff to everybody.

These days at about 375 per thousand, American Eagle isn't such a bad buy in .223. The only .308 I"m seeing out there is radway green berdan primed stuff in cans and Prvi imported boxer primed .308. and it's around 500 per thousand.

If you buy less, you pay more. People are hoarding like the dickens, with the occasional person selling some off - but most of us are stocking up for the "bad times" whatever that is.

it's a start. Avoid shows, NOTHING there is reasonably priced - the stuff you can get for 350 a case is like 600 a case at a gun show - the panic buyers all go there to stock up.

It's a crazy nuthouse out there for ammo right now, with all the ammo the big manufacturers are making going overseas to our troops and UNFORTUNATELY to our 'allies' in afghanistan and iraq - we can't really look for domestic ammo to come available anytime soon until we get out of the sandbox.

Jensen had a good stock of Hornady .223 55gr FMJBT Training rounds on Wednesday, 02/11/09. Yes, I know, they are steel case. $0.35 per out the door / case of 500.
