GETTING MARRIED! I'm looking forward to this day. It's been a lot of planning and work (mostly done by my better half) but it'll all be worth it once we get the show under way.
So, any advice/tips/info for me? Wedding day advice, marriage in general, etc.

Wait till menopause starts then shut up, don't argue and find a nice hobby, like strippers. IF you last that long[Beer]

Yes dear ??? not in this household. In the beginning it was, Can you post bail ? [LOL]
Congratulations! :)
I'll answer your questions seriously, and let the others yank your chain.
Communication. This is huge. If you don't communicate with your partner, little things snowball into huge events very quickly. When in doubt as to whether you should say something or not, err on the side of being open and talk with her.
Respect. Courtship doesn't end once the ceremony is over. Treat each other with respect, and see how easy it is to maintain your relationship.
You must like each other as well as love each other.
I'm so happy for you. :) What a wonderful journey you have ahead of you!

I nominate the Grey for the Dr. Grey title. JK of course Grey. [ROFL2]
let the others yank your chain.
I'll leave that for the wife to do. ;)
Thanks! I'm definitely excited for it. We've been dating for 5 years now so I'm stoked to wear a ring and show off our commitment.

Don't get drunk before the wedding.
Congratulations Dave. My wife and I got married in June 2012, so not too terribly long ago. As a newlywed, one of the things I had the hardest time with was letting my wife change how I do certain things at home... it was never an issue when she would just stay over a couple days when we were dating but once she moved in and threw away all of my sponges and put the cleaning spray and brush in the basement(!?!) instead of under the sink in the bathroom, my impromptu bathroom cleans got fewer and fewer... why would she want to make it harder on me to actually clean the bathroom?!? I still don't understand, but she just doesn't like having cleaning stuff under the sink... and completely disallows sponges (how are rags better?).
All in all, expect a few new quirks and hiccups early on, that will hopefully wind up being only little petty things that might make you grimace at the time. The quicker and easier you shrug them off or resolve them, the better it will go.
May your girlfriend and your wife never show up at the same function.

Just sign a 5 year lease. After about 5 years it starts going south and by 15 you can't get her to move out.
What happened in Vegas will now be known.
Congrats D_Integra.
HA! I lol'd.
We've been dating for 5 years, living together for 2.5. I think we've found most of the quirks. Now I just get to officially say wife.
And then:

Congrats Dave... Buy more guns now!!!
Congrats Dave... Buy more guns now!!!
She already wants 2 guns (AR and .38 special). Lol. I could buy more guns now but she'd probably try to claim them.
My advice it to take a moment with your new bride and look around and take it all in. It will go by very fast so have fun, and don't get so drunk you won't remember. Good Luck!

My life didn't change much getting married. Having kids has been life changing.
My advice is to apologize after a short but reasonable time has passed, and not play the silent game for days on end, even when you're right. Just get it over with and move on.
Never say anything bad about her family, even if she's talking bad about her family. Don't even agree with her.
Do berate her for watching reality tv. It's a man's right.
Good luck.

Congrats!
The secret to a long relationship is; Don't worry about arguing, it's going to happen, just don't get mad because what does it matter in 2 more hours, two more days, two more years anyway.
Women want to feel secure.
Men wat to feel significant.
Oh yeah, brush your teeth.
Shit. Didn't anyone try to talk you out of it?
congrats.

...and don't forget to put the toilet seat down.
What The Grey said is on the money. Talk to each other, don't let issues fester, and the 'silent treatment' doesn't help either of you resolve the issues.
ETA: Congratulations!!! Going through life with someone you love is awesome!
Learn to say this without thinking.... "Yes dear".
If you master that, you'll be just fine.

Congrats.
Stay or become Debt Free ASAP. Be honest, truthfull & respectful. Remember when you get frustrated or mad that she voluntarily chose to spend her entire life with you. Remember that the grass is usually never greener on the other side. At the end of the day that woman IS your life, how your treat her determines your success as a husband, father, leader and a Man. Congratulations and Bless you and your soon to be wife.
ETA: learn to say the following phrases.
"Yes Dear"
"Your right Dear"
"I'm Sorry Dear"
(this one is important, this usually comes after a gun purchase). "Yes Dear you can go to the coach store".
I've noticed recently that I will find myself getting really angry at something, and if she is around I would start yelling, but if she isn't around, I lose my cool in 5 minutes or less. Having the patience to keep your cool for a mere five minutes could save a lot of stress.
Congrats man!!
Best thing I ever did was get married to my wife.
Well I survived. The day was awesome! The weather was perfect. There wasn't any drama at the wedding and now I'm married to an awesome lady! w00t!

I've only been married 6 months, but I must say, the above is excellent advice.
Congrats and enjoy!

Congrats to you both, I hope everything goes well for a long time.
Advice?
I doubt much is going to go wrong in the first six months or a year, maybe longer. You've been dating for five years? You both know what you're getting already, at least for now.
Stupid little shit used to really get to me some years back....it really doesn't matter in the long run/ big picture. Let stupid little shit go, 50 different cases of eye shadow spread out all over the bathroom counter for a week?....don't worry about it.
