Was trying to find the "What will they say about you?" thread but it is too common on the verbage to properly search, or I just fail.


Saw this on the news this morning and was hoping we didn't lose anyone.

I think most people on here are smart enough not to charge towards police with a knife and a bat.

If it was at a party I bet there was a witness or two. My experience with TPD is that they are busy and have a lot of this stuff. They are rarely in the news because they are extremely professional about how they handle it and are trained well. They rarely have something that is questionable with use of force, etc. Compared to many PD's, I think TPD is one of the best. And I don't work for them.

That's right across the street from my neighborhood. This sucks because if I understand correctly, there is usually only ONE officer on duty in my area most of the time. The neighborhood he got shot in is nicer than mine. Having one less officer while they put someone on leave during the investigation is the last thing my neighborhood needs.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say the dead guy would be a live guy if he'd dropped the bat and knife when ordered to do so by the po po.

Kinda that whole "stupid games, stupid prizes" thing.

Hmm. This is a toughie... I suspect it will read something like:
Manner of Death: Gunshot
Cause of Death: Fatal levels of lead in his system / Lead poisoning

Thornton, CO (AP) - In a press conference today a spokesperson for the Thornton Police Dept confirmed the man shot by police officers after approaching them with a bat and knife and ignoring their repeated commands to drop his weapons remains dead.
