Ok, first day of archery elk hunting and what did i find? My buddy with stinky pants cuz a mamma bear and her cub snuck up on him from 5 yds away...[ROFL3]

4 hours later when we leave, the woods start makign a lot of noise, guess what...2 more bears, but these are boars. I'm looking at getting a archery bear tag, screw elk hunting! Bad news, i forgot my ccw, i'm an idiot!!![Bang]

2 more bastards today, 1 driving up to the trail head, the second one we jumped while walking a ditch line. I'll let you know the unit after I checkout tags...blahahaha

Make sure you have plenty of broadheads or smokepole ammo, they're thick. the 2 today are on the otherside of the unit.

Time to get a smoke pole....Pm if you're interested. It is work to get into the unit, 1 mile hike with a 500 ft straight down hike, then a 1k ft straight up, We hit the area at 4am, make the hike in an hour...

crap just watched this vid...those things are pita to clean...The ones we saw are a lot smaller, i figure gut em out and drag em back...getting up the hill is gonna be a biatch. I'm thinking i could attach a long as rope to my quad, and use the winch to pull em up the hill...

Most of the bears there are under 150lbs, I got an ex nfl linebacker going with me who's an ox, so he'll be "hunting" with me. I don't know who's bigger or meaner...I'm going up there tomorrow for elk, my buddy finally found em and i got the coordinates.

I've been hunting archery bear in 43 since the opening, and haven't seen a gawddamn thing. Found sign, dens, etc., but no bears yet. One more try this evening....

i gave up...had to get my elk first. Shot my smoke pole this weekend though. Anything within 50yds would of been smoked!!!
