So a guy from work invites me out tonight. Says he and his buddy's are doing their FF teams tonight.
I think, sure, why not. Have a few drinks, some food, what the hell.
(Disclaimer. I'm not much of a sports guy)
What the hell is this? It's like a bunch of old ladies playing bingo. One guy picks somebody and the rest all yell fuck. Talk about a nerdy pastime.
Oh well. Ill have another makers and Coke.
It is nothing more than Dungeons and Dragons for guys that used to beat up guys that played Dungeons and Dragons.

Totally. There's a dude with a little drawstring felt bag (think crown royal) with chips in it for picking order. I just kept thinking he'd pull out the 87 sided dice.
(boy I sure hope of them are on the forum)
These guys still living in the basement of their mom house too?

I did Fantasy Hockey for the first time last year... Figured with the shortened season it would be a little easier...
After my top 3 forwards got hurt I gave up and said fuck it. I'll never do that shit again.
I'm a bit of a fantasy football junkie. It's a way for me to be competitive at something without putting forth much effort on my part and it keeps me entertained over the winter. There's a bit of strategy involved as well as a crap ton of luck. What can I say...it entertains me.
Count me in. One of the things I like about it is, I find myself more interested in other teams besides the broncos. Plus, it's a pretty big cash league and I took home 800 bucks a couple years ago.

That is some funny shit right there.
Never played either, not judging, but that is really funny.

I play in three leagues simultaneously. It makes watching games like the Bills vs Chiefs on Thursday night interesting. Plus, it's a game that doesn't require constant attention, offers a chance to shit-talk your buddies, and draft parties are a good time if you're not an old grouch like OP.

Old? No
Grouchy? Yeah probably.
Just not my thing and but it did seem like more shit talk than anything else.

hahahaha EXACTLY!
I've been in 3 leagues for the past few years. Got it down to one this year and Im happy about it.

If he takes you to Packers, Studs or the Cock & Ball I would be a little scared of what kind of teams they are going to pick. http://combatace.com/public/style_emoticons/default/ghey.gif.pagespeed.ce.iqP6jzKKDY.gif
Never did D&D or FF. Better thing to drink to, I guess.

I'm stealing this. And i might take credit for dreaming it up when my co-workers start talking Fairy-tail Football. Football is fine with plain gambling, Fairy-tail leagues are just productivity killers.

Fantasy Football is for people who are too insecure in their manhood to be Bronies.

SSSSHHHHH, not so loud. I have the wife convinced that my time here is more than "the ladies sewing circle gossip group".[ROFL1][ROFL2]
I rarely watch pro football and am clueless about fantasy leagues.
But usually catch a local high school game on the radio on Friday and Saturday evenings in the fall.
