..Ozero orders a strike on Syria and it is done.
On his authority he will kill more innocents than Newtown, Aurora and all other "mass shootings" than have occurred during all of his time in office.
Just a random thought for the day...

He's already done that with drone strikes in Yemen.

Saddam Hussein killed 10x more people with chemical weapons than Assad has.
So were all these people in favor of attacking Syria also in favor of attacking Iraq?

Saddam Hussein killed 10x more people with chemical weapons than Assad has.
Especially since there's a good chance that Assad didn't kill anyone with chemical weapons and the whole thing was a false flag operation.

What do you think Obama would do if it were the Russians or Chinese that used chemical weapons on their people?

Probably just surrender and hand the keys to the kingdom to them so they can use it here.

Send a strongly worded letter.

They would say "what difference does it make now?"
Send a strongly worded letter.
...of apology.

but I have to ask while it was carried out on his authority, did he really have the authority to do it in the first place...
I hate to degrade the office of the POTUS, but there has been a lot of overstepping for the last 20+ years.

Very fair question and well thought out.
Unfortunately it means nothing as there is no more system of checks and balances.

HELL..HE WILL GO NUT ON THEM... he will send John Kerry to Kremlin and ask for the reset button back.
Oh, is this a done deal with leadership support from both chambers or will there be any actual votes?
I thought the war Powers act gave him authority to order strikes without boots on the ground?
The same thing Biden swore he would impeach Bush for. The same thing Senator Obama said Bush could not do without congressional approval.
Fucking hypocrites.
Push for the UN to send a strongly worded letter.
FIFY.

The whole point of asking for Congress to approve this strike is to absolve him of responsibility.

Psychological warfare...... Listening to the entire thing would surely make one want to clean their ears out with a 9mm qtip.

BINGO!! and more to the point to say it was "bipartisan" so the party can't be beaten over the head with it come election time. And the stupid assed Rino's like Boehner and McCain are lining up to throw their advantage out the window.
McCain was for US intervention long before the administration thought about it.
McCain is a strong believer that the US should be the world police. To be fair if we had stepped in when he wanted us to we would have an interest that at least pretended to be on our side to support.

I lived in Arizona for a number of years when McCain was my Senator... McCain's loyalty is wherever works "at that time"... he is a panderer, and the worst kind, he has no loyalty to what is really good for the country, you can determine what is the current winds by where he is leaning that day.

See above, it was good for his career AT THAT TIME

Quoted for truth- a narcissist needs a scapegoat if things don't go his way... always have somebody to take the blame.

Only in the case of imminent danger to the US or our allies... NOT the case here... I'm sure it bruised his ego to find out his power is limited.
your statement about his hypocritical nature still applies, tho... [shithitsfan]
