Looking for a good CCW class for the wife and me. Are all classes the same?
Any recommendations?

Shoot a PM to either one of those gentlemen.
Another +1 for J and Spleify. My wife took their "ladies only" course and came away impressed, as did I after seeing the curriculum.

Another shout out to those two.
Put my dad through Leif and J's course and he still tells me something from the class nearly every time I see him.
+1 for J and Leif, took the class with two of my nephews.
Lowe did the shooting portion afterwards and they really helped improve all of our shooting.

Another +1 for Leif and J at MHDFT. My wife and I did their class and I'd recommend it to anyone.
Thanks for the kind words guys! Much appreciated!

From what Ive seen and heard class content depends on how ethical the instructor is. There are some out there that just want your money and will do the minimum requirements.

Very, VERY true. I knew a guy that met his "instructor" at McDonalds and an hour later had his certificate. True story..
If an "instructor" says he will meet you at McD's that should throw up an instant red flag..just sayin'..
My wife and I have many common interest, many I've exposed her to and shown her how to participant in them. Some have been enjoyable experiences and others I wish I never had anything to do with. At a friends suggestion my wife and I took separate classes, the same friend suggested I didn't instruct/train her. I took his advice and the money spent on her lessons/training was well worth it.

Your friend is a wise man. I would never try to teach my wife to do anything involving dangerous weapons, as I am a horrible teacher for her, and she is a horrible student for me. We get along just fine otherwise, but she gets frustrated.

Here is Colorado the curriculum for a Concealed Handgun Permit is not standardized as it is in other states. For this reason, the answer to your question is a BIG 'no.' Having said that, I will add that, even though I have not taken his class, I am more than certain that you cannot go wrong with Spleify's class. This young man knows his stuff!
