Good luck today guys....If you haven't yet (and live in/or plan to live in the appropriate districts) please get out and vote.

I'm no longer a resident, but will be watching. Your vote sends a message for the country, not just a couple districts in Colorado.

Here's hoping!

(NPR showed their bias today (surprise surprise). When doing a mini-segment about the recall, the host (can't remember who it was) started to say that it was a vote against their votes "of gun con...regulations". Can't outright say "gun control" on the air can they?)

I wouldn't expect anything less. They don't want to make people prove who they are to vote even though you have to prove who you are to buy a case of beer from the immigrant liquor store owner or gas station clerk selling a can of chew.....awesome.

That nasty one in Evergreen yelling "sit down!" is vulnerable. Even Hudak may see another run at her if we can get some funding for paid circulators. Sorry, but 20 to 30 part-time volunteers with only 10 or 15 consistently showing up each weekend won't get you the 28K votes needed to cover her magic validated signature number (between 18 to 19K).

Hick interviewed on 9 News back in March '13:

...For all of their fervor, Hickenlooper sees the demonstrators a small minority.

"Not only do they not represent the middle, I don't think they represent the Republican party. I don't think they represent a large number of people," Gov. Hickenlooper said.

http://www.9news.com/news/article/321188/188/Gov-Gun-control-will-not-cost-me-re-election

[Mad]

Hey Hickgungrabber,

I know that back in March Biden, Obama and Bloomberg were blowing in your ear and pulling your strings. Perhaps you couldn't hear our rage through the din of the honking horns and our protests on the Capitol grounds. We're law abiding gun owners and we're the 99.999999% that get up every morning, do our jobs, pay our taxes and abide by the law. We're the good guys you and your party decided to vilify.

You had the right instinct after the Aurora shooting when you stated that no new gun laws would have stopped it. I don't know what Bloomberg and party leaders promised you. I do have a message for you that was delivered tonight with a big, fat exclamation point: We're mad as hell and we're not going to take this attack on our constitutional rights lying down. Your reelection is not a sure thing. In fact, thanks to your arrogance and aloofness on display in the 9 News link above, it's not even a *likely* thing.

Too bad. You had a chance to be a statesman - a voice of reason working to bring us together to mutually find an agreeable solution. Instead, you chose to play partisan politics and together with your party hacks in the legislature, you mugged and then belittled Colorado's law abiding gun owners.

Do you hear our horns honking tonight?

I did an appearance at the Young Americans for Liberty conference on behalf of the Hudak recall. People are more than willing to sign or volunteer when they hear her quotes about the billion dollar education initiative and "statistics not being on her side" in response to a rape victim looking for campus carry rights.

She's going down, and if it takes paid circulators, so be it.

Too bad they were replaced with Republicans, my second least favorite party. Did democrats get the message? Maybe. Republicans also got a reinforced message: if we never do a single thing we claim to stand for, half of the people across the country will still vote for us over a democrat.

We shouldn't be asking Democrats why they passed these incremental gun laws, we should be asking why the last time Republicans were in charge they didn't eliminate most gun laws. The answer is that they don't want us to have guns either, they just want it slightly less than Democrats (same as everything else I disagree with our government doing).

If we had some serious libertarian reps or gun rights independents, that would be great. For now, I'll take this as a step in the right direction.
