So we made the trip out to the LDS cannery this afternoon. Super nice people and we would have probably canned the bulk stuff we bought had there been enough time before they closed. Since its on the other side of town and getting there is a pain we bought Mylar bags and o2 absorbers.
Now I need something to seal them. I've read you can use an iron but that sounds like a PITA. Anyone know of a decent sealer for the money?

Yep. Ask to borrow mine and then set up a time to swing by Grand Prix Guns and pick it up. Just have to promise to return it when done. [Beer]
Not really a PITA. I use this:

You know you can borrow one from the LDS store for a week for free. Or at least you could two weeks ago when I stopped in.
Side question, but any reports on what they had in stock beyond the usual national list? They had some pear sauce a while back that I wish I would have bought more of. Wish there was a good way to track the other stuff they get in other than the base list.
