ETA is 10 days

No water down the drains, no flushing.......

I have a portapotty for emergencies, but 10 days?

Oh and no washing of clothes or dishes.

I prepared for loss of water contamination, and loss of water, got plenty of it. :-/

Forgot to say I have a wife and 5 girls.......

Sorry to hear it. Maybe time for a little family vacation to some place with functional plumbing?

Not many rooms in NoCo from cheyenne, down past 120th as of this morning. openings are sparse and for every check out there are 1 or 2 on stand by.

Ahh. I hadn't thought about that.

Might just have to go a little farther.

I evacuated for a hurricane once. Probably could have headed back home in a day or two. Decided to just stay out for a little week long vacation instead.

Thanks guys, situation is as follows:
House is dry, no flooding, no leaks
Electric is good, internets and satellite TV are good.
We have cell phones.
We have plenty of food, fuel.

No showers and no flushes for 10+ days is gonna be a treat, but everyone is safe and sound. Thousands would trade places with us right now, just need to keep that in mind when the frustration hits. Kids will have the hardest time dealing with it, but we will deal with it and learn from it.

if you need somewhere to go, im sure we can work it out. we have the space, not that many beds, but enough for you and your wife. the kids could use cots. plenty of room though and fridge space, we fully understand large family needs.

Appreciate the offer, will let the wife know.

There's 3 adults and a 3 year old in our house but same situation as Dave (thank God I don't have 5 girls). We'll have to have baby wipe baths and tough it out. No biggie.

what he has five girls, I have five boys?

Dave dont let that scare you off. My kids are all 8 and under. We have lots of space, so it wouldnt be tight we have 4100 sqft another 1000 in the garage.

Sounds like a canning party.

BTW: how you doing out your way, Hbar?
