I was just thinking the exact opposite. Seems like you'd get some more sunlight and fresh air in this one.

j/k = just kidding

Sort of a joke on all the "PM sent" replies to "for sale" items here.

Anyhow, I rather like the place. It fits my style. Thanks for the post.

Pretty badass. Too bad it's not hear in Colorado or I'd seriously consider it.

too bad missouri is a hot spot for earth quakes.. all those caves in the limestone around there - illinois, indiana, kentucky... 2.6 magnitute (small) just a couple days ago in that area... http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/recenteqsww/Maps/10/270_35.php

sorry, didn't mean to rain on the parade.... but it is one of the more active areas in the US for quakes... small ones usually.

I REALLY like the "Ultimate Survival Home" that was psoted. I wish I could afford it.

As for the cave home... Yes they got a loan to (hopefully) get to keep their home, but like someone mentioned - earthquakes! When this link first started I thought about how great the place is. Then I remembered that there is a huge fault line (the New madrid Fault) running right through that area. Okay, actually New Madrid is about 100 miles south of Festus but we used to feel the quakes from there all the time when I lived 20 miles East of St. Louis - even further North than festus. They get at least one earthquake a week down there. Back in 1811 they had the worst earthquake in N. America centered there. Some say this caused the Mississippi River to flow backwards (scientists dispute this). I like this home but there is no way I'd wanna live there.

Now, with that said... If I were ever to move back to my birth state of Missouri, I'd rather move into a cave in the western side of the state in Green County. This county has the most caves per square mile of any other place in the world. I know there are many cool homes in caves over there.

I have no idea what my point was when I started this rant. I really do like that underground home in the San Jauns!

Why, you little punk kid..... If it weren't way past my bedtime, and my Depends weren't so wet I'd teach you to respect your elders....
[ROFL3][ROFL1]

Yeah, the sad thing is that it's not so much the years as it is the miles! UGH! (and it really is past my bed time).
