"The guns James Holmes was charged with using in Aurora were purchased legally. Beyond the presence of a gun, the crimes committed in the movie theater are not at all similar to what happens in the streets of our large cities. And each time a politician or gun-control advocate tries to use these two very different examples interchangeably, the entire conversation and argument are compromised. This happened after Newtown.
It happened after Aurora.
And it will keep continue to happen until the advocates accept that ridding the country of guns is a hopeless -- and unconstitutional mission (emphasis mine)-- and that the real goal should be addressing the factors that lead to the various forms of gun violence: factors such as poverty, mental health and failing schools."

"This is why gun-control advocates need to abandon the routine of using mass shootings to turn law-abiding citizens into social pariahs and instead focus on something that could work."

When that attitude hits MSNBC, then I'll be impressed.

I quit TV in 2006, so that not only eliminates CNN/MSNBC, but all those incredibly tacky reality shows as well. Oddly, I don't miss any of it :)

I'm sure he'll end up excommunicated like the nut job from Huffpost soon enough.

The author of that piece is a homosexual black guy with children, I'm pretty sure his job is about as safe as it gets.

Whatever you do, don't read the comment section. Your head will literally explode from all the fail.

That's how I convince my wife to check out their lead stories. She refuses to watch MSNBC though.

I think this still misses, personally, but I do like that the article isn't the same ol'.

Gun control is not the answer, a gun ban is. all guns start as a legal purchase. It is time we start our campaign to outlaw all guns. Yes, registration is the first reasonable step to create a database for when people finally come to their senses.

^^ Pretty sure he just borrowed that one. :)

What does Limbaugh call this? A "random act of journalism". Probably fits.
