Value of 686 4" no dash

Any idea of what the value of a Smith 686 4" no dash, new in box? I have found them ranging from $550-1100. It's hard to ask for an amount when there is such a wide range in value. The box has correct endplate and is in good condition.

If it is a plain jane 686 retail probably about 600ish I would think, maybe a smidge more with it being pre dash.
The only time you get into the 1000.00 range is if it is a Pro series.

Agreed. I've seen them on average around $600ish. Mostly higher.

What condition is it in? Are you the original owner? How many rounds through it?
