Many of you here do tremendous things to help other members and even for complete strangers, many of us here reap the benefit of gaining general and specific knowledge regarding info we're interested in finding out about. And people here help you find that stuff out. I've seen the members here bend over backwards for people, and I've seen Staff help people out a bunch of times, not to mention this recent attack on the forum, when folks here were really trying hard to get the board back right, spending endless hours, even while on vacation with family.

The point I'm getting to, is that I joined here in Feb. this year, and made a donation to the board in march. The people and the help here impressed me. I noticed that when I went to make a donation again, yesterday...I noticed that 24 members had taken the time to donate to this board in almost seven months time period.

Out of everyone here posting, that's like one person a week who decided to kick a buck.

I'm just a member here, like the rest of us...I really think we could be doing a little better with helping our board stay strong and staying alive, with some resources to help it overcome emergency problems when they arise....and whatever else might happen in the future. I say, invest in this board that we appreciate....so send a few bucks if ya can, and show it.

I'm not rich, but even $10 a year maybe?....just my take on helping to support this place.

Thanks for your time.

any chance we can donate via paypal? I've got some $$$ in there I can throw down. I meant to do this a while back and of course life and everything else gets in the way and my mind wanders a bit. If anybody needs to donate, its me.

Is there a reason you think the site is low on money?

Exactly. If the balance gets shady, I'm sure another call to action will be made and alot of us will re-up.... And sniper7 can mean to do it for real.... [LOL]

Otterbat, I'm not in any way trying to shoot your idea down. Just curious if you heard something, as the last time the site needed money, we were notified and we came together to get it taken care of.

Of course, they'll need to get their SSL certificate back in place for real as well before then. [facepalm]

I always mean to do it for real, even when I don't!

If I could afford to donate, I would!!!! I mean it too.

I have 6 kids and I was let go from work last month and physically incapable of going back to the field in my line of
work for a few months due to a motorcycle accident injury. Slander is a motherfucker especially when it is from someone
who you consider a friend and even go me the job. At any rate, when I can donate, I sure as fuck will!!!!

The site is doing fine with money.

In fact, donations have been such that they have covered almost all of the hosting costs over the last year, which is nice for me to not have to pay it out of pocket. Hopefully the same will be true of the coming year.

The SSL certificate has been renewed as well.

Hey guys.. :)

I really only mentioned it because when I went to donate for a second time, only 24 of the fine folks here had taken the time to give the board some *love* in like 8 months. In my head, I just thought sooo many people get great information from members here, and they get help from outstanding members who offer to personally help you with learning.

I would think that the board account is just like yours and mine....the more you have, the more you can do. If half the members here could manage $10 donation a year, less than one dollar a month, there might be a shit pot of money for a COAR mass BBQ somewhere, or a COAR sanctioned event at a range that we could buy for a whole day, see where I'm going with this idea?

I just dig the folks here, and want the board to be strong, and it's always better to be ahead in the first place....rather than having a problem at some point and starting to beg for us to kick a buck.

I think it is a good post! Good way to remind me to donate.... I keep telling myself so maybe now I will remember!

Now on another note: I would be willing to do a Co Ar15 lower buy with a percentage ( Owner and mods we can discuss price points, etc) going to the board. MODS, any interest? I could get the logo engraved on it and some kind of commemorative saying.

What do you guys think?

And of all his posts all he got was the t shirt.[facepalm]

Your doing a good thing.
Sofar all the members here support each other and give each other a hand.
It's absolutely amazing how we all can pitch in and make a difference.

I'm sure glad I belong to this outstanding community![Beer]
