I think that someone needs to start a Wikipedia entry or some kind of website that shows what happens when politicians vote against the 2nd Amendment. This needs to be something that does not come across as right wing extremist but something where the language speaks to middle of the road people who care about other issues besides guns. I don't think we can ever convince anti 2nd Amendment people to be pro 2nd. But I think we can scare them about losing elections. We have electoral proof. I don't want to make this conservative or republican or any side issue. I want this be about facts.

Fact... Sept 1994 the first Assault Weapons Ban is passed.
Fact 2 months later, November 1994, the people who pass that ban, the Democrats lose in the largest wave of electoral loss in modern history.

Bill Clinton himself later admits that guns were a huge factor in that electoral loss.

Colorado... national Dems push for anti 2nd Amendment laws. This leads to the first ever recall elections in state history.

I am sure there are more instances. But we need to capitalize on this and use it to get into the minds of the American public that gun rights should be non partisan and that being anti 2nd Amendment will cost you elections.

Does such a thing exist. If not, then we need to figure out how to make it happen.

Without checking it sounds like a pretty good idea. I'm not technically savvy enough. Probably not objective enough, either. My entry would look like, "If you believe gun control works you're a dumbass".

Well, I think this forum is full of a lot of people who have knowledge. I think we both can make a good contribution to something like this. Because I bet you (you all too) have come across some articles that I have not seen and those articles have facts we can use to put together an entry in to Wiki.

I think the quotes from Clinton in this article are great to use. http://www.outsidethebeltway.com/bill-clinton-warns-democrats-against-overreaching-on-gun-debate/

Chunky, I am about making it non partisan. I am on neither side now because I don't think that defending a two party system is doing this nation any good at all. I work for changing elections so that all parties have a chance, not just Demopublicans.

I think that the defenders of the 2nd Amendment have a chance to build off our wins in Colorado and go on some sort of offensive. Message... vote against the 2nd Amendment lose your election. That is a big deal.

Yeah, that would last a long time on Wikipedia ... like about six seconds.

Wikipedia is a fraud - dominated by whacky "editors" that enforce the rules in a very biased, partisan manner.

There already are sporadic things about what I am talking about on Wiki. Check out this link for proof. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_control_policy_of_the_Clinton_Administration

So we need to make a larger case for this by pulling together all the facts surrounding the issue that more gun control = electoral loss.

Basically if someone from the NRA or any other group is reading this. We need a site that tracks electoral losses that have anti 2nd amendment factors. Also quotes from other electoral leaders like Clinton or whoever that shows voting against the 2nd amendment is bad. People care about multiple issues, if they see the 2nd Amendment crusade as being a detrimental to other issues they care about; there will be pressure then from both sides to make it the 3rd rail of American politics. Which means we won!!!
