I'm really not a Hugh Jackman fan, but man, he must've drank some of Tobias Funke's acting juice. Jake Gyllenhall does a really terrific job of being a mysterious, and inexplicably nervous/offputting detective. If you pay close attention, you should be able to start connecting the dots before the 1st act is over, but you still won't crack the case until they want you to.

Very moody and dark. Give it a viewing.

A+ on the reference.

I think he spent some time at the Method One Acting center.

The first three seasons of this show are only trumped by It's Always Sunny in my book.

Back on topic:

It was long, but I was never bored or anxious to move forward. It's hard to make a 2 1/2 hour movie that maintains a steady pace and stays plausible in the process. I was pleased, because usually they either make it too short and try to cram the climax and falling action together in about a 10 minute segment, or they draw it out without actually developing characters or furthering the plot.
