I know we just shut down another thread on ObamaCare so let's not let this one get out of control.

I received a Pro-ObamaCare spam email that I wanted to share with all of you - mostly for my response (which contains offensive language)

The Reason the Diggs Family Supports October 1

In any other year, October 1 would be just another day. But this year, to the Diggs family and millions of others, October 1 is a milestone day to celebrate expanded access to quality, affordable health insurance thanks to the Affordable Care Act.

On October 1, new health insurance marketplaces will open their doors in every state across the country. Millions of Americans who never had affordable health insurance before will be able to go online (or get in-person help) to learn about all their insurance options and the new financial assistance that's available.

But there are some in Congress who still want October 1 to be just an ordinary day. And they're making noise about shutting down the government to stop people like the Diggs family from gaining affordable health coverage.

Think about that. There are some elected officials who would rather shut down the government – stopping basic services like issuing Social Security checks and processing veterans' benefits – than help families finally get quality, affordable health care.

It's well past time for this dangerous politicking to stop, and we need your help to do it. Click here and show the Diggs family that you've got their back in the fight to protect the Affordable Care Act. It's an easy way to send the message that American families want to put people ahead of politics.

The Diggs family knows firsthand how affordable health insurance can make a difference for families. When Mr. Diggs lost his job, the family was able to get health coverage through Maryland's Medicaid program. Not only did this provide the family with basic health coverage when they most needed it, but it allowed Mrs. Diggs to have a healthy pregnancy. If Medicaid hadn't been available, Mrs. Diggs doesn't know how she would have received vital prenatal care. Now they want to make sure that all families everywhere can enjoy the same peace of mind and security that comes from having quality, affordable coverage.

Millions of families stand to benefit from expanded coverage under the Affordable Care Act, whether it's through the marketplaces or state Medicaid expansions. Having access to coverage made a big difference in the Diggs family's life, and they're standing strong to ensure that millions of other families are able to enroll in coverage starting October 1 and join the ranks of the insured on January 1, 2014.

Unfortunately, some members of Congress aren't standing with the Diggs. Instead, they're fighting to shut down the government in the hopes of stopping families from gaining coverage.

The Diggs aren't quitting, but they need to know they have your support. Click here and show the Diggs family you stand strong with them and support the Affordable Care Act.

Thanks for all you do.

Sincerely,
Justin Kolikof

My response:

Fuck off! The ACA is nothing but government mandated robbery & intrusion of privacy!

If the lazy folks got off their asses and earned their own way the rest of us wouldn't be burdened with giving up our minimal hard-earned money to give them a free ride.

Four kids? If you can't afford to care for them - quit having them and expecting the rest of society to financially support your family.

So again, fuck off!

Perhaps the Diggs should just move to Canada... Or Europe.

Me too. I probably would have opened with something like "If the Diggs can't afford healthcare for their 4 children, perhaps they should not have HAD 4 squalling brats in the first fucking place. I resent the fact that assholes like you think I should shoulder the burden of supporting these freeloading assholes after they have made a series of horrible decisions", and it would have gone downhill from there. This is the biggest case of extortion and racketeering in American history.

The Diggs family lives in my native state, The Peoples Republic of Maryland. Decades before Our Dear Leader was able to talk Baltimore native, and California political band leader, The Right Honorable Nancy Pelosi into passing the ACA so that we could all find out what was in the ACA, the Diggs family would have been covered by the taxpayers of the PRM for any and all medical expenses.

The next time they ask the question, make them provide the name and address of the last person who was refused medical care in the USA for lack of ability to pay. They can't. It doesn't happen. Poor people in the USA may not get the same care as Billionaires or Congress critters, but the poorest people in the USA get better and faster care than most anyone else in the world.

The ACA is all about making people in this country dependent on government. And the beat goes on. [Bang]

Beyond so. How did the supreme court deem this right? How can they tax us when they cant? How have we gone along?

I have been trying to get through to liberals why this is bad. It is clear that they will never get the "If you can't afford it, don't buy it or commit to it" argument because for most of them mommy daddy and Uncle Sam have always bailed them out. Someone who has never been held accountable will never understand accountability. They are blind in their own little self absorbed world, and short of it collapsing on them they will remain there.

My Ex-wife got a job working as a counselor for drug abuse at risk teens. The first week of this month she was informed that the state cut funding for her program and everyone was getting fired. It was due to ACA being implemented and her job fell into the health and well being cuts that are supposed to be covered by ACA. Well it was not covered no replacement jobs are going to be made, and now she is going on unemployment. They told her that she was not exempt from the ACA fine for not having insurance so she still needs to purchase insurance or face the fine. It will cost roughly half of her unemployment check. She voted for O both times.
