We have a foyer on our home that has 2 entry doors. The weather stripping is shot, jambs are shot, trim is shot, etc... We'd like to keep the doors if possible (mostly because new doors are so damn expensive) and just have a craftsman restore them to like new.

Anyone here do stuff like that? Feel free to give me a PM. And the job would be in Bailey.

Restoring to "like new" generally costs the same or more as replacing.

I figured as much. But we like these doors and can't really find new ones like them. So, if we have to spend the money we'll at least have the doors we want.

A friend of mine does just that sort of stuff. He completely redid the inside of my pine house when my renter trashed it and did 10k worth of damage including replacing all the carpet (hopefully you remember it from before) upstairs and down (including the stairs) with hardwood flooring. He does some incredible work! Give him a call he can give you an estimate. Tell him I sent you.
