This makes my blood boil! These men have sacrificed more for their country than anyone in this admin will in 10 lifetimes.

The only thing good that could come from Obama would be his signature on his resignation letter.
And they are threatening arrest...

Let them harm one of those vets, that'll send a bunch of people over the edge.

You know, I see our administration close our Monuments and Parks over waggling peepees and a pissing match.
And then you see our vets essentially say: "FU, we're going in"
One makes me sad to be American.
And the other makes me proud to be an American.
I say to the Feds: "Fuck You-these are OUR Parks and Monuments, not yours to do as you wish."
My wife's Grandfather is scheduled to be on an Honor Flight on Oct 11 - being at the mall on Oct 12th.. I will guaranandamn-t that he will see that monument - regardless of whatever state the gov't is in. He lost his leg fighting in the war - I think I can sacrifice a little jail time if needed.

I was going to say something, but I probably shouldn't. Instead of having somebody kick down my door, I will simply relay that I do not approve of the United States federal government in the 21st century; namely the last two administrations and the road they have paved.

Pretty hard for the luvable gubmint to claim they are saving money due to the shutdown when they are deploying more resources to keep vets from the memorial than they normally use to staff the memorial. Nuttin more than bald-faced tyranny. As others have said, those vets own the memorial, not Beeho's hipsters. The vets paid for it with their own blood.

Nothing to add here -- perfect.
We've been heading down this road since 'bout the 1920s.
I wonder how much they have spent in labor/security, and for that temporary fence during this gov shutdown.

I saw an interesting post on another site. The gent worked in DC and was there during the last shutdown. He recalled that during the last shutdown "Closed" signs were hasty, hand written notes on printer paper. Now they are nice, professionally printed corrugated signs that were obviously printed well in advance of the shut down.
The WH planned this shutdown purposely.
Class act we got here folks.
And to think, we have 3 more years.....

Indeed. And are the folks enforcing this genuinely "essential government functions?"
Of course not.

Ahhh life is back to normal, Obama said.
Obama also sought to assure governments and investors around the world that the "full faith and credit of the United States remains unquestioned. We'll bounce back from this, we always do."

Great news. This society is back to the important job of circling the drain.
