All of the sudden our fridge took a digger. It's making no cold at all. I pulled it out today and removed the front and back covers thinking it was just dirty coils. They were covered in dust so I cleaned them off assuming we would be good to go. The fridge has now been running for two hours since doing that and it's not cooling still. Not sure where to go next. There are no leaks in the water line, the fan spins freely and is running when the fridge has power, and as far as I can tell the compressor is kicking on. Any other tips I should try? I am willing to pay cash or barter for someone who knows they are doing. Hopefully it's an easy fix!

It's a Whirpool model from 2003.

Post up, PM, or shoot me a text at 719-522-3202. Thanks!

What was the problem?

What was the problem?

Diagnosis revealed that it was the compressor starter that had blown a fuse. I went through everything from the thermostat, coils, etc. and this was the faulty portion. Waiting on parts to repair it and I will post up if it is back to running condition. Wulf was awesome with the help!
