Anybody have anything they wish they would have done when given the opportunity and didn't?

i have a list, guns I wish I would have boughten sometime ago, there is a list of people I wish I could turn back time and either apologize to or said to them. I guess hind sight is always 20/20, but who knew I would lose that chance.

I guess I am having a self reflection night for some reason.

-Started wrestling freshman year of high school
-Gone straight edge at the same time
-Started taking diet and exercise seriously along with the aforementioned
-Knocked a couple of real shitheads out when I had the chance
-Never bought a Ford
-Kept my M&P 9 full size
-F*cked a couple of chicks I blew off/chased off when I had the chance

- Spent more time with my dad before he died.
- Told my grandparents how much I appreciated them while they could enjoy it.
- Interviewed my grandparents on videotape about life in the 20s and 30s.
- Kept my 400 shares of stock in Apple instead of selling it (for $36/share) to buy a car.

It's probably a safe bet that every one of us wishes we had spent more time with a loved one when they were still alive.

I don't know about changing things, because there were a couple things done that made me the person I am today.

-listening to a stock broker talk us out of our investment, costing my parents their retirement and me a nice sum for my bank account
-take the generator to a better mechanic (a week before it burned the house down)
-not fill the generator when hot and ran out of gas after only 30 minutes (something clicked in my mind, just didn't act on it)
-RIGHT DECISION - fought with doctors about getting skin grafts

Do people who wish they did things differently in the past not like what they are today? I wish sometimes that I never married my ex, but I am very thankful I have my two boys. Oh, philosophy with a cup of coffee[Coffee]

Sure there are things that I should have done differently but I'm pretty damn happy with where I'm at so it's not something that I dwell on.

Yesterday is our heritage.
Today is our responsibility.
Tomorrow is our challenge.

We all have "coulda, woulda, shoulda" in our lives. The only time I reflect on them is when a current day situation is similar and use the past as a reference.

I do however regret never having served...

Not serving because of a woman. Voting for Obama 12 times. I think there should be a recount and impeach him.

That's a long list given the day.....Never having back surgery seems to leads the list....Every time ( We all do it ) I hit one of these ..."I wish I'd had " moments........I look at my wife daughter and realize that it's not that important. We all get a lot smarter, stronger and more handsome in hindsight.

At least you didn't sell your share of the whole company for $800 like Co founder Ronald Wayne did, doh!

I don't think Foxtrot has a large enough server for me to list all the things in my life I should have done differently.

Lots of guns and cars I should have bought or shouldn't have sold.
Lots of women I should have stayed the hell away from.
Lots of opportunities I should have taken and a few I should have avoided.

Sounds more like he's writing his 4th..[Coffee]

But looking back sure there is a lot of stuff I wish I could have changed, but who knows what the outcome could have been?
It could have led me down a different path that might have been worse.
Either way I'm content with where I'm at now.

I would not have wasted so much time with high school football and should have played baseball instead.
I should have hung on to the K98k I sold to alxone

I think that's about it.

Seems a couple here agree.
I do as well - my dad did and insisted I did not.
But I would've loved to see if I could have made a good marine or maybe a PJ or something....

It's probably a safe bet that every one of us wishes we had spent more time with a loved one when they were still alive.

I regret current fights I have with alive family. I also regret not being able to get past them, in some cases.

Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do and saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course, each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

I will never have to regret posting my regrets on a public forum [Flower]

1- knew Colorado 7 years ago when had a better economy position

2- don't spend my money in stupid stocks that leave me extremely poor in 2 months, better put all money in big cans, dig a hole and sow it.

3- never trust in a man, mostly for as a Business Partner

4- never sold many guns that I missed everytime.

The only regret I think I have is how long it took me to remember who I was, where I came from, and that if you aren't true to yourself you are hollow inside.

+2 That is just really wrong. Although, you have now fulfilled my quota for the day. I've always known that there is erotica for everyone. Today I learned that there are some people who are into prehistoric bestiality.

Clearly you did not read the reviews.

It is not bestiality. She is revealed at the end of the book to be a Megasoreass.

Seems like there would be a lot of pressure if one ever went on a date with that author. How do you live up to a boyfriend the author never even had?

And here is another lady whose picture comes up WAY more times than the actual author's, and is probably not happy about it.

Listening to a recruiter when he said desert storm would be a short fight. (It was, but I didn't sign up, because I was afraid it would be over and I'd not get to fight. )

listening to my Dad, a former Marine, when he talked me out of joining. I'll never really know why. He's gone now.

A couple things that the statue of limitations hasn't ran out on.

My regrets would be :
1)not beating the shit out of my uncle on the day of my moms funeral when he thought it would be a good idea to tell me he didn't agree with our decision to her go!

2) not sticking to my gut feelings when it came to Trusting people and thinking blood is thicker than water. It's amazing how everything comes out in the wash when some one dies!

You can pick your friends but you can't choose your family.

Wish someone would've told me about "NEVER trusting farts" as I got older. -_-

Dave

Trusting my Uncle a second time after he had stolen my identity before. He did it again.

Sometimes I think I should have stayed in the Army. I had a decent MOS, liked about half the people I worked with, I'd still be in better physical shape and I'd only be 5 years from retirement at this point.

So are they regrets????
