View Full Version : pronghorn
36495Son took what I consider to be a nice pronghorn in Pawnee Sat morn. He roughly measured about 11" to the base of the skull. I have yet to get mine. Hopefully I can get a day off this week and run back up and focus on me this time.
Kid just got a nice little Muley too, nothing grand but it was the biggest thing we saw in 3rd and 4th seasons.

Great job kid! I had my daughter in tow with me this past weekend. I let her call the range and wind speed granted she was way off on the wind it made her feel like part of the team.
Got mine yesterday. Awsome day, NO WIND in Pawnee! First time ever the kid and I filled both our tags in the same season.
got mine as well last sunday evening. went through the nasty storm on friday night, got up there on saturday around noon. too many hunters in the area. passed up a couple smaller bucks. saw this guy and decided to finish the hunt as we only had until monday afternoon. Took my little brother in law. He had a couple shots but couldn't connect.
too this one with my savage .300 win mag at 307 yards.

sure is
That view over your truck looks very familiar. Lived in Craig for several years in early 80's. Learned to hunt there and still my favorite area to hunt.
Very nice area. Takes a while to draw with a rifle on the east side of the road. Takes forever for the west side of the road.

Draw used to be pretty much automatic, 30 years ago.
These days pretty much just hunt elk up around Godiva Rim.
