Thought I would email our US Senators on some thoughts I had about National Park Service activities.

Discovered that Senator Bennet's website says his office and website is shutdown for the duration of the govenment shutdown and he is not going to respond to constituents on anything until after the gov't is back to work.

It appears that Senator Udall's website and office is working as normally.

He never replied to an email I sent about 3 months ago. Udall sent a generic response after about a week, a personalized one a month and a half later. Polis sent a generic response just last week. Bennett? Nothing.

Shutting down websites is such a joke. Of course the government will gladly accept my quarterly and other tax payments online, that page works just fine. [Mad]

Pretty much all websites for all federal politicians are down unless they are privately funded in some way.. Not just bennett. Has to do with the "antideficiency act". Makes it illegal for any federal official to "enter into financial obligations".
