So, a while back, I decided to buy a giant Kershaw D2 for camping, and just overall fun when hacking away at something... Well, it broke on me, so I sent it in, and they replaced it, but this second one chips, badly... and I haven't used this second one for anything but wood... So, I dropped the cash for a Busse ZTBWM CF, and just love it. It reminds me of Dundee "Mick, he's got a knife" Dundee chuckles and says "that's not a knife... (pulls out his giant bowie and shows it off) That's a knife...". Anyway, we don't have a bad ass knife thread that the members own, so, here is little beauty.

Hows that Busse?? Asked for the Swamp Rat 9 for birthday/xmas/anniversary.

Currently running the Esse 5, and love it for a backpacking/camping knife.

I don't have any good blades yet, but I just recently put a wrap on this one. The holes were too small, so my neighbor helped me open the holes up so I could fit multiple passes of the wrap through.

I've only had it a week, but I've been hacking away at everything I could make an excuse to destroy with it like a child needing an excuse to play with their new toy... it still shaves hair off my arm. I've "compacted" a lot of stuff like old glass gallon jugs, chopped tons of wood down along with some 4" pvc. I accidently hit the concrete and felt chills go down my back (this would have finally killed the edge on my kershaw from chipping the damn thing all to hell), all it did to the Busse was ever so slightly roll the edge to where if you look at it just right, you can see light reflect like a hairline scratch on the blade edge. I love it as of right now.

This is my Aztec Bowie knife. I had read that the pre-Columbus natives of Central and South America used wood for some of their knives and swords. I was working with some Purple Heart wood that comes from there and I came to see how it could actually work for cutting people and critters. It inspired me to make my own version of a wooden knife. The Purple Heart woods' rich red-purple color and almost metal like hardness seemed appropriate for the leading edge. I originally put a sharp cutting edge on it when I was making it. I dulled the edge after I gave myself a semi-nasty cut while working on it. If I was to do it over I think I would shorten the blade portion 2 or 3 inches. Over All Length is 19 1/2 inches, the blade is 15 inches long.

The other Bad Ass Blade is on my ATAS North American Arms revolver.

I've had this knife for years and forgot about it. Unfortunately it rusted after sitting inside this sheath for the past ten years or so. I didn't really know anything about knives at the time. Now that I dig it out, it is a pretty stout knife.

Here are my 3 favorite knifes. These are hand made by a guy I call "Pop". I prefer finding guys like this to get my knifes from in the back woods or off the side of the road. This is a lost art. 45439I happened to find this guy at the Southlands Mall Farmers Market! Everything is hand made and he is proud of the wood he chooses for each knife handle. On the big one he added a ball peen and kept telling me that it can be used for self defense or to break windows with. I know that these are not the big "Tactical Factory" knifes but I value them more than anything.

I am filled with lust in my heart for the bottom one. I have no idea what I would do with it, and I cannot see it having any utility whatsoever in my day-to-day life. But I think I may fork over the $700 or so just to have it as an objet d'art

I got my (first?) Grayman knife today! Ground Pounder double edge with teeth. Made from 1/4" thick 1095. It's only been with me for a few minutes but I already love it.

Yes it is!

It was a birthday present many moons ago. :)

If you ever purchase another Katana do not get one with a bohi or blood grove. It makes it so much harder to cut with. Looks cool. Great for your practice or iaito because it whistles when you swing properly. Love the tanto. You have three matching blades under the Japanese steel of different sizes. What are those?

Thank you, This is a beautiful knife I'll try to post a picture of the complete collection.

Man I'm a little disappointed that an eight page bad ass knife thread hasn't included one picture of a Randall yet! I'll have to get one up.
