I've heard that an officer was taped beating one of his kids and it was given to the chief and nothing was done about it.
That's hearsay and I have no back up.

He didn't get off "free" and no one would sentenced to 10 years jail for the same offenses. My guess is there are others who've had similar charges who received more lenient punishment and some who received worse punishment.

Been on those calls. I bet you have too. I used to have a lot of sympathy for victims of abuse. Then I learned to give them access to the services they need and try not to judge them when they don't use them.
