Today, while rummaging around in my old "treasure" box of stuff, I ran across this little stainless steel item. It has nine (9) different tool type functions and if anyone sees more than the nine, please remind me what they may be. Taking two pictures of the same tool since it was dang difficult to do away with the reflection. I can locate:
1. Ruler/straight edge
2. File
3. Screw driver
4. Saw
5. Can opener
6. Knife
7. Wrench
8. Compass
9. Bottle opener
10. ??

Those two holes can be used like a compass (not the directional kind) to make a circle... and the other kind of compass too? The arrow with the N I can only assume to mean that it's magnetized and will point north if in water on some kind of floating apparatus, maybe? [Dunno]

To act as a compass, I believe the middle small hole is for applying a string which should allow the North direction to be seen.

When I carried one during college days, I had to surrender about 3 of these (separate occasions) to airport security when I forget them in my wallet at the airport.

I dont know what 10 is but these things run around .50 cents to a dollar on every deal site on the internet.

This. Except I paid $5.00 for mine when I HAD to have one. Later they started showing up for free.

And this. I used to keep mine in my wallet until I forgot about it going to court. Now it sits on top of my beer fridge in the garage.

I believe it can also be used as a bong, as long as you don't have hypocrite neighbors.

Mine has two different wrench areas.
The slot on the left is supposed to be for wingnuts.
The circle with the lines is supposed to be for a button compass.

If it had been spelled dickfOr instead of dickfEr, I would not have asked. I was raised on a farm and sure as hell knew the two things "it" was normally used for. .[LOL]

Hey, wait just a minute there Mr. DSB. If most of you kids/boys are fortunate enough to also reach my age (77 in Dec) you will find that your priorities change somewhat in later life. [panic]

Button compass? Is this the little dime size compass like those they used to have embedded in gun stocks?
