There has been a family of 4 coyotes hanging out in our yard lately. My neighbors who have lived here forever say they have NEVER seen coyotes in our neighborhood. Only raccoons, foxes, and hawks.

I used to see wild coyotes in Broomfield after dark a lot. Fairly timid animals. They might go after a small pet left outside or a wino passed on on a bench, but the average person doesn't have much to fear unless one is rabid.

I can hear them most nights if I sleep with my windows open.

dibs on the caller next!

I need to borrow a nice electronic call. My buddy and I have been out the last two nights behind my dads. had one sneak up to 50 yards behind us last night but couldn't turn around and wouldn't have been able to shoot because of the houses back that way. Nothing tonight. Probably going out again tomorrow. some yotes need to die.

I've been thinking about buying a caller lately, as I want to hunt my land this fall/winter/spring/summer.

With the yotes showing up in my back yard, I figure I can practice at home!

We get Coyotes passing through the neighborhood in the open space about twice a month. They come through at night, just yipping away and getting all the dogs a barkin'. My next door neighbor keeps chickens but the Coyotes don't bother them, the foxes will try for the chickens and sometimes they get in the coop and get one or two. She just re-fenced the coop in September and has not lost another one.

My neighbor has lost geese, ducks and chickens to coyotes. Probably about 30 birds. Then something killed one of our cats. Now I got to fence off five acres...
