Thanks to the Honey Do's, I missed out on going to the Tanner show last weekend.
Are the Castle Rock shows at the Douglas Countyfairgrounds worth the trip from the Metro area ?
Any industry partners going to be there ?

Depends. Ive gone a couple times. Only things ive ended up with are some life straws and some mags. Ammokan is usually there with decent prices. Not a huge show. Might take you an hour or two to go through every stand. 30 min if you just walk and glance.

I can't stand large, congested crowds so this show works for me. Definitely a lot smaller, but when I go to shows I know exactly what I'm looking for and don't waste time rubbernecking. I've always walked out with something. Can't say that for Tanner.

Wave and honk at the protestors at the entrance for me.

I'm going to try and run down there tomorrow and check it out. The only other show I have been to before is Tanner so I'm curious to see it...

For those who attended....how was the show? Vendor prices? Large or small crowds?

Went Sunday, mid-day. More vendors than last 2 times I went to this show, but still a small show. Not crowded at all, and still some decent selection left at most tables.
For the most part.
Firearms were largely priced pretty decently, but most of the ammo was still WAY too high. Still seeing 550 value packs of Fed 22lr at $55 & $60, CCI mini mags at $20/100.
Brass seemed a bit high. Saw Varget for $31/lb and AR Comp for $30 (which I have hardly seen at all in several years).

First show I have been to outside of Tanner. I went there to purchase a shotgun and was pleasantly surprised at the prices as most were pretty competitive. Ammo still too high, but did have some powders and primers for decent prices. Being that it was a smaller show it was easy to make it around the entire room without much competition at each vendor. Plus being that it is on my side of town I will definitely go back.
