I assume it is an IPSC or IDPA type handgun comp, but would like some details as well as info on start time, round count, etc.

I believe that match is an "outlaw" style 3Gun match. Mostly pistol shooting with a rifle or shotgun mixed in here or there. I have not attended this match in years so I am not sure what the exact details are. Like most local matches they probably start at around 9 - 10AM so if you want to participate you should probably show up around 8AM.

They use to have some good information about the match on the Boulder Rifle Club website, but that seems to be gone now. Go to the BRC Club Officers contact information page. It lists e-mails for the club contacts. E-mail some of those guys and ask for more information about the match.

I don't see it listed on any of their online calenders so it may be an event that no longer exists.

That match is on their calender "Defensive Pistol....". I would assume that BDPM stands for Boulder Defensive Pistol Match.

I have shot it with the GF a couple times in the past as its her "home" range. If you are trying to be a competitor this isn't the match for you. This is more of a "shoot for show" match. Some people have fun with it, It was really never my cup of tea.

Haters Gotta Hate.............. Oh wait....... I don't go to this match any more because of the same reasons [Peep]

It's definately worth checking out. My work schedule won't let me go anymore. It definately has good community and friendship.

I saw a couple minutes of where theywere doing the thing where the two people would walk forward in surrender position and draw and fire at the plate when the RO said "fire", what other drills did they do?

sent from a soup can and some string..

Is anyone going on Saturday?

Very good. If I remember correctly, registration was at 9:30. Is this right? It's been so many months since I shot this match, that I can't quite remember... Do you know if they have a rifle side-match, by any chance?

I haven't made it up there for a long time but I'm still on the mailing list. They put on a good shoot with interesting side matches and it's a pretty reasonable drive for people in the Denver area. By coincidence I just got the info so I figured I'd share the important parts...

This Months side match is PISTOL CALIBER CARBINE. we will have 2 stages set up for score 25-30 rounds each. the side match will be 40-45 rounds

Matches are always on the 3rd Saturday with safety briefing starting at 9 AM..
Match prices are
$10 for members, New Shooters & LEOs;
$15 for non-member;
and $5 for side matches.
If you come help set up for matches (4:30 PM Friday before match) you get a $5 discount off match price.

Does anyone know what tomorrow's side match will be?

It was going to be .22, but they changed it to a walk off.

Because of the newly created .22 combat match being held on the 4th saturday of the month we are no longer going to hold .22 combat side matches, we had one scheduled for this month. In place we are going to have a WALK OFF!

Does anyone know where the results are posted?

What! Why?! There were only about 25 of us there. Maybe 20. Sure would be swell to get some results on a timely basis. Fun time, nonetheless. I'm very grateful to the match director and everyone else who made it possible for me to shoot and have fun at their club.
