Early reports say 3 shot in a Bally's hotel/casino in Vegas and a suspect is in custody.

As a casino employee myself, I have always been amazed that more folks don't go nuts. I mean, some go nuts and freak out, but there is very little violence. With all of the money (usually) lost at a casino by the guests, you'd think that more of this would happen.

ETA: we'll see, but this may have been in the hotel and had nothing to do with gambling.

Outside of the old Stardust NOT one casino has armed security. The guy who interviewed me for a job there, said the casino mentality doesn't want gamblers to think they're not safe.

it was over a night club dispute...dude wanted a refund for his cover charge apparently and they said no and i guess he went off, is what i heard

I was up in Black Hawk one night when security shot a guy in the parking garage. We saw him being wheeled through the casino on a gurney.

That's not totally true, most uniformed guards aren't armed, but most have non-uniform guards who are armed. Some have their own military haha. LVMPD has a pretty heavy presence as well, they will shoot you, your dog, and your grandma then let your half naked hooker girl friend sit on their motorcycle while they take pictures. I have a picture of 2 cops taking pictures of a girl on their bike.

I wonder if he had a blue card for his handgun?

should have clarified. it was for uniformed security. That company did lots of plain clothes stuff in their off strip "condo's" They offered me very good money, but the only affordable housing was in questionable area. Shitty zip, great prices on homes.
