+1, unfortunately, sounds like you're in for a lot of work

Found this: http://www.wikihow.com/Get-Rid-of-Bed-Bugs
but general advice seems like there's a large combination of things you have to do. Crazy cleaning and sanitization, patching up wall cracks, cleaning out all your desk drawers, washing all clothes in hot water and calling an exterminator. Ugh.

Good luck sparky.

The only thing that works against bed bugs is to not let them bite.

Call an exterminator. I see this stuff from time to time at work. Actually surprised I've never brought em home. Knock on wood.

I know it's cooling off now but stuff you can't wash can be sealed in a garbage bag and placed in your car trunk. The heat will kill them. Get professional help. Wash all your clothing. The heat from the dryer will kill them. Did you move recently? We picked them up from a moving van a few years ago.

My brother's school recently has bed bugs due to some kid. Close off an area of your ... Clean and throw away what you can. Then keep it condoned off and clean another area and keep going until you kill/ rid the location of all the bugs.

Abandon all your stuff and run away nekid.

Exterminator is best - gotta be sure you get them all, or they just keep showing up.

Maybe he thinks the chem weapons will still be in the soil and help kill the bugs? I've heard stranger ideas on killing them before.. I mean if it works for rebels it must work for bugs.

Oh boy.

Guy at work had an infestation in his home, and they've already heated his house to 240 degrees or something like that....3 times, and he still has issues with the invaders. They had to remove lots of furniture and stuff...it's been a real hell for him and his family.

Fumigator or bug bombs are the last thing you wanna use it dosent kill them and makes them move to other rooms. Get rid of, or bag your mattress and dry everything including stuffed dolls/toys. Vaccume your room every day. Got to home depot and get flea/bed bug spray comes in a white container with purple lettering, spray your base boards and around electrical outlets with it. Bed bugs cant move around good at all they are living approx 2 feet from where you sleep so concentrate on thoes areas the most. Most important never rent an apparment near CSU they all have bed bug infestations.

I can attest to the fact Raid bug bombs do not work.

I was in a presentation last summer about bed bugs, apparently there isn't much you can do about them. All of the above suggestions might work. Apparently HEAT kills them, but you have to heat the whole house or rooms at a time. (someone stated that above)

diatomaceous earth is supposed to work also. So I'd look into multiple of these options. It was also suggested in the presentation, that professional extermination wasn't the best option.

Definately get rid of the bedding.

It was also presented to us; we'll all end up with them, as the eggs from them stick to just about anything. Shoes, pants and such. You'll bring them home with you.

I read that they cannot tolerate heat- there are some exterminators using a technique that involves bringing the whole building to no more than 135 degrees, and it's very effective. Called it thermal remediation.
