Starting to attempt to solve the toilet issue for a SHTF situation. Have looked at the "Lugable-Loo" and competitors with the "Double Dooty" bags as a solution, but it doesn't seem to me to be very long term. Curious if any of you have some insight here. I've also heard double bagged trash cans with Pine Kitty litter, but it seems that gets you the same place as the aforementioned Dooty bags.
Thanks for the time and input!

Long term is going to involve digging a hole. We got by for a week with 5 gallon buckets, trash bags and a toilet seat. We ran through bags fast though.

Truly long term solution is a composting toilet. On the move or short term, you're stuck with digging a hole or bagging it up. If you're staying in your house, you can use the toilet as long as you've got water to put into the tank - one of those bathtub water bags would keep you going for a long time. Rain catchment would extend that.
Dig a hole, throw in poo, add some fuel, stir with a stick, throw in a match.
Repeat as necessary.
Dried poo does not require additional fuel to burn.
Assuming bugging in. For the short term is contractor trash bags, simply line your existing toilet with it. Contractor bags are just useful in general.
Long term as above dig a hole etc

If it is really hitting the fan, not really seeing why you need to do anything with it, just get out of the path of the fan.
Here is what I have for when you just need to "take a load off": http://www.bumperdumper.com/

And cut a hole in the bottom of your luggable loo and set over the hole you don't have to throw it anywhere.

Our LL has been in [camping] use for 6 years. along with the necessities, of any crapper system. You should have disinfectant wipes for after use cleanup.
Make like a bear and just poop in the woods.

I've noted that many cars with Obama stickers also have sun roofs.
