Requiring an FFL, or not?

Check with 10mm, think he uses someone local.
I was wondering the same thing. I am thinking of giving these guys a call. All of my anodizing experience has taught me that these places do stuff in batches. Whether you are doing one part or many. Most bang for the buck would be to get a group of folks to put their stuff into one batch and split the cost. I'm in if anyone wants to do this.

Check out Denver Metal Finishing. I have not gotten anything anodized by them, but I know they do anodizing. I have gotten a lot of stuff hard chrome coated though and they always do top notch work with that.

To the best of my knowledge they won't touch firearm related items anymore. Something about not having a FFL.......
So, we have a couple people who are interested in getting in on a batch of type 3 to split the cost. We are looking at taking parts to S and S in 2 or 3 weeks. If anyone else is interested chime in.

http://www.sandsanodizing.com/ These guys are great! I had them do my 70 lbs unlimited benchrest rifle platform last summer in OD green. It came out awesome and the price was hard to believe. I called them up and told them I had some gun parts to anodize and the guy started giving me a ration about how they didn't believe in gun rights, how the 2nd amendment didn't apply blah, blah, blah. He was pulling my chain!! I was about to hang up on him when he started laughing and said they do a lot of work for Magpul and would be happy to look at what I wanted to do. Said just come by and they couldn't have been nicer. They are shooters and like to help out fellow shooters. If they can just slip your work in with something else turn around is pretty quick. I was just over a week getting mine back, paid them a reasonably small amount of cash. They have a bunch of colors to pick from.

Just did a upper and lower in OD green at S&S. Glass beaded first for a matte finish. Came out awesome!
Reasonable price, in my opinion. I know I paid more for just 2 parts.
Messy shop but gun friendly and the end product was nice.

I have been trying to get information from S and S. Called them 5 times total as of today. The ladies up front have no clue, and I have left 3 messages with them to have the "guys" call me back, so far nothing.
Guess they don't want my business. I will be going elsewhere.

Called Denver Metal Finishing. Got all the information I needed in about 5 minutes. Very helpful. They do firearm parts, in any quantity. Will be dropping some stuff off there Friday morning.

Finally got my parts over to Denver Metal Finishing two weeks ago. Got them back today. The entire experience was awesome. I got all the information I needed to make the proper decision. I am VERY happy with the work they did. My total price came in lower than the quoted price.
I would and will recommend DMF to anyone and everyone who asks.
