Let me start off with that I did a search on this site and only 2 zombie theads came up, one with the last post in Dec.2012, and the other with a last post on Jan.2013. An both were in the GD section and nothing in the Dealer & Range review section.
Now this should disspel the "do a search" and the "there is a Dealer & Range review section" comments.

Bud's Is showing "in Stock" on some items I am interested in. So I am asking if any members here have had any recent (say in the last couple of months) experiences with this online gun store.

Good, bad or otherwise let me know.
Thanks,
SSB.

About 3 months ago I got a used Taurus 4", .38 Spl, +P from them with no hassles.
Gun was as described and shoots fine.

I've ordered a pistol and a rifle from them since May. Both good experiences, No complaints. They ship pretty quickly.

Buds is first class and delivers pretty fast to your FFL. There prices are pretty damn good as well. Done 6 guns with them and never had 1 issue. Be sure to inspect the weapon at the FFL before you accept it just in case there is an issue, you can refuse shipment at that time and it goes back to them. Once you accept it it is yours. Decent folks, good prices on most and a good place to do business.....

They precess check payment very slowly, but that was over a year ago, not sure if they improved that. But if you are not using check payment then you should be fine.

In the last year I have bought 5 guns, 4 ammo orders and some shotgun accessories. Only time I had a problem was when I tried to do a layaway with a EFT, it took a few hours to clear and in that time they sold the last pistol I was trying to buy.

Ordered Mosseburg MVP couple weeks ago and had it shipped to Rapid Fire and it went like silk.

If you don't want to pay the 3% credit card fee, you can pay on layaway (so they reserve it asap) with a personal check, but it takes about a week to clear, then another week to ship. If you pay with credit/debit card, it usually ships within 3-5 days. If you pay with a personal check only, and mail it in, I do not believe they reserve the firearm for you until the check clears.

I've ordered two pistols from them in the past 6mo, and a shotgun about 1yr ago. The latest I did with the layaway and I'll never do it again, just because the $15 that I saved by not doing the credit card fee wasn't worth the nearly 2+ weeks that I had to wait for it to ship out.

Thanks, I was wondering how the cash price and lay away worked.

I have paid with a check via electronic wire transfer without using layaway. At that time, they did in fact hold the firearm once the order was processed, and then dropped the shipment once the check cleared within a couple days. It took a couple hours for the check processing to show up on my bank account. So an electronic check should get you the firearm held within a few hours of submitting your order. YMMV

Yea, I thought it might be worth it, but it really does take a long time to process. And who wants to wait that long just to save ~$15. I definitely won't do it again. Especially since I can use my credit card and get 2% cash back lol
