Are under freezing every night for the next two weeks. I love winter.
I spent most of the summer working inside. Now I get to work outside.
I can't wait until I am under a truck and get mag chloride dripping on me all winter!!!!

What is this "Flame Sensor" you speak of? (this coming from someone that has a 39yo furnace)[LOL] And yes I do understand but it is an 80% and we just use it to take the chill off before the pellet stove fires up.
Total gas-elect utility bill for the 6 month heating season (Nov-Apr) = $115 per month including pellets.[Coffee]
I can't find the filter for our furnace. Are there models without filters, or is that a stupid question?

Well they all should have a furnace filter. Whether or not it was installed properly with one, or the ability to have one is another question.
If I provide the make and model, might you be able to provide me with suggestions of where to look? The intake is from the bottom, and I have a sneaking suspicion that the filter is pinned below the entire unit...

Thankfully just got the hot tub repaired and am refilling it. Bring it on! :D
Irving, some builders install filters on the fresh air returns. You see them on ranch style houses or furnaces that have height restrictions.
Perfect barrel stove weather, but I haven't finished the patio yet.

I was thinking that I could just put the filter on the other side of the grate that it is sitting on. I'll be pissed off if the furnace is pinning down the filter and I can't get to it to change it out though.

I love this weather also. So glad the 90's are behind us for a while!

Might be in the blower compartment as well. All manufacturers/code says there must be a filter. Check in the return air drop/ductwork and blower compartment of the furnace, or if you have 10x10(or similar size) return air vents on the wall it might be in there.
I can't stand the cold.My fingers do not work well when cold-too many times being frost bitten :(
I went and took a bunch of pictures of my furnace, then decided to see if I could remove a panel that didn't look removable before. I pulled it off and the filter is right there and super easy to access (also super dirty). Turns out I'm just dumb. Thanks for the help everyone (hghclsswhitetrsh).

Cheers. Glad you got it sorted out.
I have a love/hate relationship with the cold. Love to ski but hate being cold. So as long as I'm dressed appropriately I don't mind it.

Used to LOVE the cold, not so much anymore. Have to ride my power scooter every other day about 1/2 mile each way to dialysis.
BUURR,
Roger
I need to order a draft motor for my furnace. Mine crapped out and I rigged it for now. With my luck it will shit the bed on the coldest night of the year.

Better dumb with a clean filter, than ignorant and no heat. The original furnace in this house had a filter, but no access. Nothing a sawzall didn't remedy.
